		<description_pt><![CDATA[A casa principal foi construída em estilo burguês, no ano de 1897, por uma família rica com propriedades de cortiça, e, em 1998, começou a ser reconstruída pelo actual proprietário. A partir do seu charme decadente conseguiu readquirir o esplendor de uma casa senhorial rural: uma casa de banho nova, na qual foram colocados azulejos espanhóis clássicos; caixilharia em madeira restaurada nos nichos das janelas com dois metros e meio de altura; paredes de estuque renovadas em cores discretas; parquet de pinheiro lixado e rosetas coloridas nos tectos em madeira com quatro metros de altura, janelas de vidro duplo em verde-escuro e iluminação de halogéneo moderna no corredor com sete metros de comprimento. Os frescos das paredes são pintados à mão. Foram limpos, restaurados e conservados com cera de restauro inglesa. A casa principal levou reboco novo. As guarnições das janelas e das portas, assim como as esquinas da casa, são de calcário maciço. Foram limpas e restauradas. Todas as instalações eléctricas foram colocadas por fora, sob o reboco. As cornijas foram demolidas e construídas de novo. Foram pintadas em amarelo ocre e, juntamente com as paredes brancas, as janelas verdes e as guarnições de pedra natural castanha nas janelas, portas e pilares de canto, conferem à fachada da casa uma visão marcante. As antigas cavalariças foram transformadas numa unidade habitacional. É utilizada como uma casa de hóspedes particular. Esta unidade foi restaurada num estilo tradicional e simples com materiais da região ? com tectos com traves de pinho e bambu polido, pavimentos em ladrilhos feitos à mão, faces das portas e janelas afuniladas. As portas interiores são em mogno maciço. As janelas e as portas exteriores têm vidros duplos. As paredes em pedra natural, com 55 cm de espessura, conferem um ambiente interior bastante agradável. Os telhados têm um bom isolamento e são cobertos com telhas de barro antigas, feitas à mão.Os 60 metros da área habitacional estão distribuídos sob a forma de um terraço que acompanha a subida da colina. Esta área é composta por 10 divisões, distribuídas por 5 unidades individuais (55 m², 41 m², 45 m², 51 m², 28 m²), as quais dispõem de kitchenette, zona de estar e de comer, e casa de banho/WC. Todas estão equipadas com aquecimento central a óleo. O fornecimento de água quente é efectuado através de energia solar. O jardim com cerca à volta e muito bom solo tem aproximadamente 1.800 m². Antigos muros a formar terraços de pedra natural dividem-no em cinco níveis. Estão ligados entre si por meio de escadas. Todos os níveis dispõem de caminhos novos em pedra natural. São ladeados por lavanda, murta e rosmaninho. Existe um total de 25 laranjeiras, tangerineiras e limoeiros alinhados em fila. Além disso, o jardim dispõe de figos, abacates, uvas, romãs, uma ameixeira, uma macieira, um abrunheiro, uma nogueira e uma cerejeira. Por entre todas estas árvores existe uma grande variedade de ervas aromáticas, chás e plantas medicinais.A irrigação é feita com a água da própria fonte e por meio de um sistema de rega. O tanque é provido da água que corre 24 horas por dia através do tubo de cobre de um painel de azulejos português. No Verão, e após as caminhadas, este convida-o a um banho refrescante. A partir deste tanque, a água da nascente é conduzida através de calhas por seis bacias dispostas ao longo dos terraços, produzindo um suave e constante som da água a cair. O seu som tranquilizante pode ser ouvido não só a partir de um caramanchão com uma vista soberba, como também de outros locais calmos, soalheiros ou sombrios do jardim. No terraço da horta existe uma pequena estufa para a cultura de tomates, legumes e plantas de Inverno. O complexo oferece a todos os apaixonados por jardins um vasto leque de possibilidades. Muitos dos visitantes costumam referir-se ao jardim como um ?pequeno paraíso?.A Casa das Fontes situa-se a apenas 30 km de distância da costa do Atlântico. A rede viária tem boas condições. O aeroporto internacional de Faro e a região costeira com marinas e campos de golfe encontram-se a 40 minutos de carro e as antigas cidades árabes de Loulé (20.000 habitantes) e São Brás de Alportel a 20 minutos de carro. Estas localidades em ascensão são os centros citadinos do interior montanhoso. Sevilha fica a 1 hora e meia de carro e Lisboa a 2 horas e meia.]]></description_pt>
		<description_uk><![CDATA[The main house was built by a wealthy family of cork handlers in a patrician style and has been restored by its current owner since 1998, who has managed to pull the property out of its charming yet dilapidated state to recreate the splendour of a country manor: with a new bathroom, tiled with antique Spanish tiles; with restored wooden frames for the two-and-a-half metre window alcoves; rebuilt stucco walls with subtle colour scheme; dark green double glazed windows and modern halogen lighting in the seventeen-metre long corridor. Its fresco walls are hand-painted, having been cleaned, repaired and preserved with English restoration wax.The main house has been newly plastered. The window and door surrounds as well as the corners of the house are of solid limestone, which has been painstakingly been cleaned and repaired. All electrical wiring has been installed outside and plastered over. The cornices have been knocked off and completely rebuilt. They have been painted in ochre and, in combination with white walls, green windows and the grey natural stone frames of the windows, doors and corners, give the house façade a distinctive appearance.The housing area is formed from converted stables, and now used as a private guesthouse. It has been restored according to traditional simplicity, using materials sourced from the region ? the ceilings feature solid pine beams and polished bamboo, the floors are laid with handmade terracotta tiles (?ladrilhos?), and the windows and doors have traditional stone frames. The interior doors are made of solid mahogany wood. The windows and exterior doors are fitted with double glazing. The 55-cm-thick natural stone walls create a pleasant indoor climate, while the roofs are well insulated and laid with old handmade terracotta tiles.The housing area is staggered over several terraces, rising a total of 60m up the hill. It comprises ten rooms. These have been separated into five individual accommodation units (55m², 41m², 45m², 51m², 28m²). They feature a kitchenette, living and dining area, and bathroom / toilet. All are fitted with central oil heating. Warm water is supplied by solar energy.A roof-tiled ivy-coated arbour is located directly in front of the main house, serving as a shady seating area for up to ten people. Behind the house lies a small courtyard under a large pine tree, with ivy, jasmine, quince tree, and persimmon tree.Covering an area of approximately 1800m² the fenced garden contains very fertile earth.Old natural stone terrace walls divide it into five levels, linked to each other by steps. All levels feature newly laid natural stone paths, bordered by lavender, myrtle, and rosemary. In total there are 25 mature orange, mandarin and lemon trees. There are also fig, avocado, and pomegranate trees, vines, a plum tree, an apple tree, a mirabelle plum tree, a walnut tree and a cherry tree. Dotted amongst the trees, clumps of fresh herbs grow happily.An operational irrigation system uses the property?s private spring water. A large tank is fed continually by spring water flowing from a copper pipe exiting from a Portuguese-tiled-panel. The tank is the perfect place for a refreshing dip in the summer or after a hike. From here the spring water is guided down the terraces through channels and a series of six pools, producing a light and continuous babbling. This calming sound can be heard from an arbour with magnificent views into the distance, or from other places in the garden, where you might be taking a break, sunbathing, or enjoying the shade.The fruit and vegetable garden features a small greenhouse for growing tomatoes, vegetables and herbs during the winter months.The garden offers countless further design options for any passionate gardener.For many visitors the garden is often described as a ?little paradise?.Casa das Fontes is not more than 30 kilometres away from the Atlantic coast. The road network is excellent. Faro International Airport and the coastal region with its marinas and golf courses are a 40-minute drive away and the old Moorish district towns of Loulé (20,000 inhabitants) and São Brás de Alportel can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
